Here, we will discuss some of the basics of breeding - all of the rules, regulations, and tips!
- Timelines of Breeding -
First, it is important to know some timing involved in breeding tygras. A tygra cub must be at least 4 days old before it is able to be breed. Once bred, the cub takes 4 days to be born. The cub will be born four days from the exact minute you set up the breeding. If you are sending an outside request, the cub will be born four days to the minute that the other person accepts that request. After the cub is born, it take 10 days for the female to recover, before she is able to be bred again. This recovery time can be shortened - see below for more information!
- How to Breed Tygras -
It is very simple to breed tygras. To breed within your den, simply go to the page of any tygra that is available for breeding (see above), and click on the "Available!" link next to the "Breeding" option. This will bring up a list of potential mates for your tygra. Simple select one you wish to breed with, scroll to the bottom and click "Breed"! Your cub will be born in 96 hours!
If you are looking to breed to outside males, you must first find a mate to breed to. You can locate mates on the "Studs and Mates" forum board, or through the tygras search. The tygras search can be found under the "World" tab of the main navigation bar. All you need to do is make sure that "Breeding" is set to either greater than or less than a given price to see what tygras are available. You can specify gender, species, and generation, to name a few. Also, if you are looking for a female, it is useful to select the option "Not Pregnant Only" if you are looking for a immediate match. Once you have found the tygra you are looking for, you can follow the same instructions as for your own tygras. The cub will be born 96 hours from when the other person accepts your request!
- Breeding Related Items -
There are several items related to breeding on Tygras that have different functions.

All halos are a one time use item, and multiple halos can be used on one tygra for one breeding. These descriptions may change as we find out more about them!
Fertility - This halo, when placed on a female before breeding her, will ensure that she has 2-3 cubs per breeding.
Gender - This halo will change the gender of a tygra. When placed on a female to turn it male, it will disappear after one breeding request has been accepted. When placed on a male to turn it female, it will dissapear after the cub(s) have been born.
Female - This halo will give you female cub(s) from the breeding if placed on the mother before the breeding.
Other items include the Love Vial, which when used on a pregnant tygra will cause her cubs to be born immediately, as well as the Mew Berry, which shorten a female tygra's recovery time. Each mew berry will bring down recovery 1 day, and you may use ten on a tygra - meaning you can shorted the recovery period to 0.
Currently all breeding items mentioned here, other than the Love Vial, are available for purchase in the Monastery Shop, which can be located under the "World" tab on the main navigation bar.
- Generations -
On tygras, the cub will become one generation higher than the highest parent. For example, breeding a generation 2 tygra to a generation 5 tygra will give you a generation 6 cub.
- Inbreeding and Linebreeding -
Many people are curious as to whether inbreeding and linebreed are harmful here on Tygras. The answer is no - there is nothing harmful about breeding two related tygras or continually breeding them. The reason inbreeding is harmful in the real world is because bad, recessive mutations are more likely to pop up in offspring. There is nothing like that on Tygras, so your decision on inbreeding is a personal choice, although it is not harmful or wrong.
